A FEW QUOTATIONS ABOUT THE DOOR HANGER
BEVERLY GEORGE (EXETER)
"I have read about the Door Hanger in the N.D.C.S. (National Deaf Children Society) online magazine. Great Idea! Please could you let me have some for the Deaf Children I work with."
LINDA SANDERS (WEST LOTHIAN)
"Require info on Door Hangers to alert hotel staff that a deaf person is staying in that room. Husband left in room during a fire at a hotel where he was staying!"
NAN PAYNE (DINDOR HEREFORD) -WOMENS GROUP - GROWING OLD DISGRACEFULLY
"Could I please have a batch of your Door Hangers for hanging on hotel doors. I can see the great value of them, especially as I organise residential courses."
SUE FRAZER (RIPON) - SUPPORT TEACHER FOR THE DEAF
"Door Hanger, These Look Great. May I have some to show the pupils I work with, and put on display at area meetings."
JOHN BEADLE (KENT)
"I came across one of your fire alert cards for hanging on hotel doors for those of us who have hearing impairment. As a person with a severe hearing loss I know how difficult it can be at night when one removes one's hearing aid. I would like a small stock so I can introduce them to hoteliers. Please keep up the good work."
LINDA MITCHELL - HEAD OF RESOURCE BASE FOR DEAF AND HEARING IMPAIRED PUPILS
"Hi, I have just been reading about your Door Hangers for Deaf People when staying in hotels. Could you please send me some further information, as they would be most useful when we take Deaf Pupils on residential visits to France, London and Keswick."
CHRIS PEARCE (BRIGHTON)
"A colleague of mine recenfly stayed at a hotel whose bedroom doors had a Lions Club International card affixed to their handles giving instruction to residents in case of fire if they required assistance or were deaf/hard of hearing.
As an ex-Fire Officer I consider this an excellent initiative. Deaf and Hard of Hearing people may not hear the fire alarm and are often forgotten in an emergency."
