Flood disasters in Cumbria
Any Lions Club wishing to make a donation to the flood recovery fund can send a cheque to: LCI 105BN annotated on the back “Cumbria Floods” c/o District Treasurer Lion Beryl Kissane, 8 Hanwell Close, Leigh, WN7 3NU.
Please be aware that District 105 BN's District Disaster Committee is working very closely with the Local Lions Clubs & Zones to address matters in the affected areas.
The application for an LCIF grant has been approved, and £6,000 will be available to the District shortly. The application to the Multiple District Disaster Fund has also been approved, with an interim £3,000 being released to the District.
Please leave it to DG Harry and his team for as & when they require your assistance they will be in touch but please let Lions in your Districts know that the local Lions are very much in evidence in the affected areas.
