Childrens Hospice South West
Okehampton & District Lions Club raise £10,000 for Children's Hospice South West at their recent Charity Golf Day held at Okehampton Golf Club.
The event was first held in 1995, and in 13 years has raised over £80,000 for the Hospice.
The Children’s Hospice South West was founded in 1991 by Jill and Eddie Farwell, and the first hospice - Little Bridge House, Fremington, North Devon - was opened in 1995. The second - Charlton Farm, Wraxall, Nr Bristol - was open in 2007, and a third hospice for Cornwall and Plymouth is already planned.
