Value of Public Relations

For several years, as part of its service, Caterham Oxted & Godstone Lions Club (COG's) offered their minibus for use by members of the local community. Having served its time the old minibus was recently retired and COG's Lions took delivery of a new minibus.

PR Officer Lion Lesley Day issued a press release to local newspapers and parish magazines telling them about the minibus and its availability to the local community.

Much to the delight of Lion Angie Annenberg who is responsible for looking after the minibus, bookings soared and the Club banked over £600 in one month from minibus use.

For COG’s Lions this has been a great demonstration of how good PR can help the Club increase its public persona and help the community.
